J.R. Fountain is a supervising sound editor, sound designer and re-recording mixer working in film and dramatic television. He discovered the world of motion picture sound through a high school co-op placement at the early age of 17. Fascinated with craft, he decided that this would be his career to pursue. With much help along the way he has become one of Toronto’s many sought after sound designers having been recognized with a number of industry awards and nominations.

In the world of animation J.R. has been fortunate to work on a number of feature films including PAW Patrol: The Movie (2021), The Breadwinner (2017), The Nut Job 2 (2017), and Ratchet and Clank (2016).
