Yanick Létourneau

Yanick Létourneau is the owner and co-founder of PERIPHERIA, a film production company established in 2000 in Montreal, Canada, dedicated to bringing directors' stories to international audiences. Yanick is very involved in advocating for the interests of the independent film production sector in Canada, working with several groups on issues related to filmmaking and representation. He is a founding member of the UPPCQ, an association representing independent film producers in Quebec.
Recent producer credits include Côte d’Ivoire's Night of the Kings, directed by Philippe Lacôte, a Canadian co-production with France, Ivory Coast and Senegal, which premiered in Venice, followed by TIFF, NYFF, Sundance and many more. Acquired by NEON, it made the 2021 Oscar shortlist for Best International Film and won several awards including the NAACP Best Outstanding International Film Award in 2021. Night Of The Kings is considered one of the Best films of 2021-2022 by Rolling Stones Magazine, Esquire, BBC. His latest co-production, a historical drama by Robert Guédiguian set in Mali, Mali Twist, in co-production with Agat in France and Senegal has just been released in French theaters. He is currently in preparation for Maxime Giroux's first English-language feature, In Cold Light, in co-production with Lithium Studios (Toronto) and Belgium to be shot in Spring 2022.
